Upchuck are a five-piece from Atlanta, forged through shared time in skateboarding, construction work, and teenage delinquency. Made up of Mikey (lead guitar), Hoff (rhythm guitar), Armando (bass), Chris (drums), and KT (vocals), the band channel that background into a sound that’s confrontational, sharp-edged, and tightly focused. Following the release of their debut album Sense Yourself, Upchuck hit the road relentlessly, touring with the likes of Amyl and the Sniffers, OFF!, and Subhumans. For their second record, Bite the Hand That Feeds, they decamped to Southern California to work with Ty Segall, recording live to tape over five days. The result is a record that pushes their raw urgency into heavier, more layered territory—driven by dense drum patterns, scorched-out guitars, and an unpolished intensity that hits hardest in a live setting.
